VETBIZ

WHAT IS VETBIZ?

The U.S. Department for Veterans Affairs (VA) runs the “Veterans First Contracting Program.” This program sets aside contracts to provide goods and services to the VA by Veteran Owned Small Businesses.

The VA alone spends over $3 Billion (as of 2015) for goods and services on eligible Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Only companies that are VetBiz qualified are authorized to apply and bid for these VA contracts.

According to the Small Business Administration’s 2013 Fiscal Year Small Business Goaling Report, the VA had $3,958,662,683.48 set aside for Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The VA also had $3,544,566,375.41 set aside for Small Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The only way to get any of that money is to make a VetBiz application.

The VetBiz application process is not easy. There are several pitfalls that Veterans fall into when making this application, which can delay applications by several months. Even worse, there are some easy-to-fix problems, which can get an application flat out denied. Here at the Veterans Legal Center, we provide you with the best guidance and expertise possible during the application process. We work with you to make sure your small business gets the contracts it needs to thrive.
